DESCRIPTION:Challenger Baseball\n\n\nWhat: Challenger Baseball Camp\nDays/Times: Saturdays\, 4:00 – 5:30 pm\nDates: April 11 – May 2\, 2026\nLocation: Edmonton Garrison Field House\nCost: $50/player \n\nCOED – AGES 5-17 – COURSE CODE: SPO262716203 – REGISTER HERE\n\n\nWe have partnered with the Edmonton Garrison PSP Staff\, the Edmonton Riverhawks and the Jays Care Foundation to make baseball accessible to all! \nChallenger Baseball is an adaptive baseball program designed specifically for children and youth living with physical and/or cognitive disabilities. \nAt its heart\, Challenger Baseball is about belonging\, creating a team where every athlete is valued\, supported\, and celebrated. Through the game of baseball\, participants build core life skills like teamwork\, communication\, resilience\, courage\, and inclusion. The program ensures athletes of all abilities can thrive in a fun\, safe\, and inclusive environment where they gain confidence\, grow their independence\, and form lasting friendships with their peers. \nAthletes with disabilities involved in Challenger Baseball programs increase:\n– Independence\n– Self-esteem and self-awareness\n– Relationships to peers\n– Connection to positive role models\n– Their courage to try new challenges\n– Likelihood of living a physically active life\n– Baseball & Physical Literacy skills \nIf you’re looking for a fun introduction to baseball and to get your child moving\, this is the program for you! \nWhat to expect? \n\nFour 1.5 hour sessions\nModified games that are age-appropriate\, simple and FUN.\nSafe\, fun and appropriate for all skill levels.\nCertified coaches and trained staff.\n\nAdditional Information: \nWe aim to ensure that our facility and program space is accessible\, as feasibly possible within the pre-existing infrastructure. Push button doors are located at the front of the facility\, entrance to the fieldhouse\, and male and female washrooms on the main floor. Designated parking stalls are available for individuals who possess an issued disabled placard. Should individuals need to access our higher or lower levels\, a key to the wheelchair lifts can be provided upon request. SUMMARY:2026 League-Wide Bottle Drive
DESCRIPTION:2026 Bottle Drive Fundraiser \nWe will be holding our annual league-wide bottle drive fundraiser* in the morning/early afternoon with this season’s Opening Ceremonies event and BBQ to follow. \nMore information will be communicated to all registrants closer to the event date. \nTeams will canvas assigned neighbourhoods together to collect bottles. Drop off trailers will be located at Castledowns and Kirkness Parks. \nAll players are asked to wear their jerseys and hats for these events. Feel free to bring your gear to Kirkness Park for some catch and sandlot afterwards as well! \n*This is one of our league’s main fundraisers and it is mandatory for all players to attend unless you chose to pay out your bottle drive deposit at the time of registration. Players that do not attend and did not pre-pay their deposit will be charged the $100 bottle drive deposit.
