High Performance ID Camps

As there is a rising desire for Little League players to have elite performance options, this winter, Edmonton Little League District 2 is offering high-performance development camps for those players looking to play at a competitive AA/AAA level.

These camps consist of identification and tryouts for our elite travel baseball teams for the Summer All Stars (players aged 9-12) and Trappers (aged 12-19) travel baseball programs.

(Community Park Little League is also still running our own grassroots, high-performance (co-ed and PSP Baseball Academy), and challenger development camps at the Edmonton Garrison. Click here for more info.)

Players looking to play at the AA/AAA level are encouraged to register for both the CPLL and District 2 camps.

Think you have what it takes to be an Edmonton Trapper?  Register for the Winter 2026 Winter ID and Tryout Camp to showcase your skills and potentially earn a spot on one of the teams Players will have the chance to work with experienced coaches and receive valuable feedback to help improve their game.

The Edmonton Trappers will be fielding three teams for the 2026 season in U14, U16, and U18.

The U14 and U16 Trappers will enter the road to the Little League World Series, the Junior League Baseball World Series, August 9 – 16, 2026, in Taylor, Michigan for the U14 team and Senior League Baseball World Series, August 1 – 8, 2026, in Easley, South Carolina for the U16 team.  Participation in the World Series is not guaranteed, and teams will need to earn their spot by first competing in Provincials and then Canadian Nationals.  The 2025 U16 Trappers won provincials and competed in Canadian Nationals as Team Alberta.  Although the 2025 squad wasn’t able to punch their ticket to the World Series at Nationals, they will be looking to build upon that success with the goal to return to the World Series, as did the 2018 Trappers.

The U14 and U16 Trappers teams will compete in the Western Frontier Baseball League for their regular season.  Although play in the WFBL involves travel, the majority of the games for the 2026 season are expected to be in Edmonton and Calgary with the possibility of some travel to Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, or Regina.  Overall, the expected travel is less than that of other travel baseball programs.

The U18  Trappers will compete in the Calgary North Baseball League for both their regular season and playoffs.  All games are expected to be either in Edmonton or Calgary and surrounding.
